The Mark Dilley Driving Experience was created in 1999 and has evolved over the years into an experience like no other. It has been designed for the sole purpose of giving people the opportunity to experience the thrill of driving a 550 hp stock car in a safe and controlled environment.
Since 1999, NASCAR driver Mark Dilley has taught over 5000 people the ins and outs of stock car racing in his full day programs. Do you have to be a race car driver to participate? Not at all, 95% of our thrill seekers have never been in or seen a stock car. However, everyone leaves feeling like they could take on the world of racers.
When we asked Mark his vision on starting the driving experience at Sunset Speedway, he stated “I wanted to give people the opportunity to be able to feel what I have been fortunate enough to feel every weekend over the last 30 years. With professionals overseeing safety, your only concern should be having a great day. There’re no limits, everyone goes at their own speed and has fun. The biggest thing to me is that I’ve watched over 5000 people leave with the biggest smile in the world. That to me is what it’s all about.”
Mark is one of Canada’s top NASCAR drivers and has competed all over North America over the last 30 years; Mark currently competes in the 2013 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series across Canada.
